Im a regular church goer, I pray away the sins of my world every sunday, and sneak in the occasional leaf prayer while im at it. (Hey hasnt hurt right?) I mean the leafs are definatly Gods team right? They gotta be, with the relative no bodies, and under achievers that make up this lineup, we are sitting in 5th place! Halleluah! I feel the power!
So tonight im sitting here, watchin the leaf game, praying to God, promising him the sun, the moon and the stars for a leaf win, and that no one else gets fuckin injured tonight and then Carl Gunnerson goes down. I swear life isnt easy bein greasy in leaf land this season. (All though it has been fuckin great to watch), we have had so many injuries. The style Carlyle has them playing has taken ever ounce of "ballsack" these guys have had, and for some its been a little more then some sack they have given up. Lupul goes down again last thursday on a double team by former teamate Jay Rosehill in Philly. Idunno maybe old Rosey is jealous that Lupul doesnt have bricks for hands like he does lol. Im just waiting for Kadri to suffer some dramatic injury with the bad luck this team has had on that front. I mean Carlyle is gettin physical play from everyone, and lets face it some of these guys arent built to bang outside the bedroom if you know what i mean. But hey if the guy can get it from them then all the power to him cause we are gonna need all this character to make it outta the first round of the playoffs.
Gotta say though Mark Fraser, Colton Orr, Frazer Mclaren and Jay Mclement have definatly been the unsung heroes of this Bull dozer of a squad this year. And Reimer, wow i could kiss him!! He has been stellar and the critics should have there tongues cut out and wiped along there rear ends for the crap they have said. Your okay in my book Reims!! "All aboard the James Reimer band wagon!" We all know theres a lot of you out there. Jeez grow a pair would ya. Dont pull it out if when it comes to measuring time your gonna zip up! Stick with your team through the good and the bad! No team needs fans that arent 100% faithful, especially our beloved blue and white...ooo Fraser with a good tilt with Ryan Clowe..Sorry always get distracted by the fisticuffs. Well im gonna sign off here and finish watching the game. The leafs are tide and kessel has another 2 goals! He has 4 goals in his last two games now. Way to dig deep with that one ball bro!!
Almost forgot, Some news to share, the ever beloved bruins are getting some more fire power from Swedish star Carl Soderberg, (damn!). Hes 6'3 and 210lbs of pure Swedish flash. He has 60 points in 54 games this season in the Swedish elite league. But he is 27 so im hoping he wont be able to adapt as easily as a young prospect would. Maybe the next Ville Leino anyone? As a blue and white bleeder we can only hope.
Also Bruins center Patrice Bergeron has begun working out on his own but there is no timetable for his return from a concussion.
Next, NJ Devils right wing Kovalchuck will miss his eighth straight game Wednesday when his team faces the Bruins. He did say he is feeling better during his second practice with the team in as many days but has no timetable on his return.
Next, Philly defenseman Nik Grossman will miss at least 2-3 more weeks with concussion issues. Grossmann, who was injured during a practice last month, has not played
since March 18.
And last but not least, well maybe to us leaf fans its least..Montreal back up Peter Budaj agreed on a two-year contract extension Wednesday worth 1.4 mill a season.
